Puzzle Piece is a concept for a teaching tool specifically designed to be used by teachers who work with Autistic children. It helps the teacher be more effective, aids and reinforces a child’s learning development and then communicates the child’s progress in school to the parent, in order to more fully involve the parent in the child’s education.

Project Puzzle Piece looks at the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a proven teaching method to improve the lives of those with autism, and addresses current problems within the ABA workflow. Our innovation design consultants packaged the teaching process into an engaging interactive game for the child and useful data recording tool for the teacher and parent.

Puzzle Piece has an onboard, removable USB dongle that records the teaching session and captures the child’s responses to the questions. After the teaching session is over, the child can take the dongle home, and the parent can retrieve the session information and see the child’s progress.
